Sonakshi Sinha has rented out her luxury apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, to the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait for one year at a total rent of ₹1.92 crore. The apartment will be used as the official residence of the Consul General and his family.
Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha has rented out her luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra West to the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait for a total rent of ₹1.92 crore. The deal has been registered officially, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix.
The apartment has been leased for one year. It will be used as the residential accommodation of Consul General Emad Abdul Aziz Al-Kharaz, along with his family members and staff.
The transaction adds to the list of high-value rental deals taking place in Mumbai’s premium residential market.
The leased apartment is located on a higher floor of 81 Aureate, a luxury residential tower in Bandra West, one of Mumbai’s most sought-after neighbourhoods.
According to the registration documents, the apartment has a carpet area of 4,350 sq ft along with a 27 sq ft servants’ toilet area. The residence has also been leased with three parking spaces.
The leave-and-license agreement was registered on May 25, 2026. Stamp duty of ₹96,000 and registration charges of ₹1,000 were paid for the transaction.
Documents show that the monthly rent for the apartment is ₹16 lakh. For the full 12-month lease period, the total rental value comes to ₹1.92 crore.
The lease will begin from June 7, 2026, and will continue till June 6, 2027.
Luxury rental deals like this are becoming increasingly common in Bandra, where many celebrities, business families, and diplomats prefer to live because of the location and lifestyle offered by the area.
